Quote model

Rate endpoints currently quote supported assets against the Algerian dinar. One result answers: how many DZD correspond to one unit of the requested asset?

currency
The base asset, such as EUR or USD.
quote
The quote currency. In v1 rate responses this is DZD.
source
The observation family: parallel, official or transfer.

Buy and sell

buy
The indicative DZD amount at which the represented market side buys one unit of foreign currency from a customer.
sell
The indicative DZD amount a customer pays when the represented market side sells one unit of foreign currency.

Rate sources

parallel
An EXDZ representative parallel-market rate built from available validated market observations. It remains separate from official data.
official
An official reference rate stored by EXDZ for comparison and historical analysis.
transfer
A supported international-transfer or settlement quote. Coverage can differ by currency.

Omitting source on a rate request selects parallel.

Dates and freshness

Timestamps are serialized as ISO 8601 UTC values. Historical filters use calendar dates in YYYY-MM-DD format.

updatedAt is the timestamp associated with the latest stored record returned by the endpoint. Do not treat it as a guarantee that a market moved at that exact instant.

Consumers should display a last-updated indicator and choose a stale-data threshold appropriate to their use case.

Derived assets

Core market pairs may be directly aggregated from available observations. Broader DZD-normalized assets can be derived consistently from validated anchors.

Do not present a derived quote as a direct executable observation. See the methodology for the separation between source families and derived coverage.
